Members of the AIDA Assembly, the AIDA Executive Board requests your National’s vote on the following matters:
1-2) Locations for 2015 AIDA Pool and Depth World Championships
3-4) Candidates for National Membership in AIDA International
5-9) Candidates for Observer Membership in AIDA International
There are a total of seven bids for the 2015 AIDA Individual World Championships: four for pool, and three for depth. Please begin your National’s review as soon as possible. To allow extra time for review, this vote will extend for 21 days.
1) Location for 2015 AIDA Pool World Championship
First, please vote for the location of the 2015 AIDA Pool World Championship. AIDA has received four bids for next year’s Pool World Championship: (1) Brisbane, Australia, from the Australian Freediving Association (“Brisbane”); (2) Kalamata, Greece, from Freediving Club Greece (“Kalamata”); (3) Loutraki, Greece, also from Freediving Club Greece (“Loutraki”); and (4) Belgrade, Serbia, from Apnea Association Serbia (“Belgrade”). All bids are from experienced organizers. All organizers plan to use 50m lanes for DYN, and 25m for DNF. All accommodations appear to be high quality.
Attached are bids for all four locations. Please review each bid carefully: especially with respect to dates, rooms and meals, competition fees and hotel costs. In order to increase athlete access to the bids, we’ll also post them on AIDA’s Facebook page. Comments won’t be taken on Facebook: athletes will be asked to send comments to their AIDA National.
ITEM #1: Please review each bid carefully, and cast your vote for:
A) Brisbane, Australia
B) Kalamata, Greece
C) Loutraki, Greece; or
D) Belgrade, Serbia
2) Location for 2015 AIDA Depth World Championship
Second, please vote for the location of the 2015 AIDA Depth World Championship. AIDA has received Three bids for next year’s Depth World Championship: Limassol, Cyprus, from Free2Dive Freediving School (“Cyprus”); (2) Kalamata, Greece, from Freediving Club Greece (“Kalamata”); and (3) Roatan, Honduras, from Esteban Darhanpe/Caribbean Cup (“Roatan”). All bids are from experienced organizers. All locations have been used for large depth events. All accommodations appear to be high quality. The Roatan proposal (3-11 September) is during the North Atlantic hurricane season (1 June to 30 November); you may contact the organizer for additional information on this point.
Attached are bids for all three locations. Please review each bid carefully: especially with respect to dates, rooms and meals, competition fees and hotel costs. These bids will also be posted on Facebook.
ITEM #2: Please review each bid carefully, and cast your vote for:

Note regarding format of AIDA Team World Championships (no vote)
Like last year, athletes and Nationals have contacted AIDA regarding the format of the AIDA Team World Championships. Some like the current format; others are interested in changing it. If athletes in your country are interested in changing the format of future AIDA Team World Championships, please post a summary of their suggestions to the Assembly list, in order to start a dialogue on this subject.
3-4) Candidates for National Membership
Two current Observer members have applied for National membership: Malaysia and Romania. The Board has reviewed their applications, confirmed that the requirements for National membership have been met, and voted to recommend that the Assembly approve each of them for National membership.

5-9) Candidates for Observer Membership
In addition, new groups have applied to become Observer members in the following countries: Iceland; Latvia; Peru; Philippines; and the Slovak Republic. The Board has reviewed their applications, confirmed that the requirements for Observer membership have been met, and voted to recommend that the Assembly approve each of them for Observer membership.
